國民黨主席補選已落幕，不過，在投票前與投票日當天傳出許多選務疏失，候選人之一的李新在投票日當天就曾出示照片，指高雄市燕巢區投開票所發生1人領取8張選票。對此，國民黨中央今天(29日)表示，經調查後，發現是發票人員的疏失，當下已立即處理，此事屬個案，並未影響投票結果。
國民黨表示，在傳出有黨員1人領8張選票後，黨中央立即展開內部調查，經查證，發現是燕巢區投開票所發票人員的疏失，導致黨員誤領多張選票，並非自投票所外自行攜入選票；且當下發現此事後，便即時扣下選票，未投入票箱，並停止該發票人員的相關工作，相關處理過程與內容都在黃敏惠與洪秀柱兩位候選人派駐在現場的觀察員見證下進行。
黨中央強調，此事屬個案，並未影響投票結果，雖然發票人員是義務幹部，黨部仍會懲處承辦人員，未來在選務作業上，也將強化教育與管理，避免相關失誤再次發生。
